Job Description
As a WooCommerce Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining our WooCommerce-based e-commerce platform. You will work closely with our design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a seamless and user-friendly shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
WooCommerce Setup and Configuration: Set up and configure WooCommerce stores, including payment gateways, shipping options, and tax settings. Theme Customization: Customize existing WooCommerce themes or develop custom themes to match our brand and business requirements. Plugin Development: Develop and customize WooCommerce plugins to extend the functionality of our store. Hooks and Filters: Utilize WooCommerce hooks and filters to modify and extend default functionalities. Product Management: Manage products, categories, tags, and attributes within WooCommerce. Site Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of our WooCommerce store for speed and efficiency. API Integration: Work with WooCommerce REST API to integrate third-party services and create custom endpoints. Qualifications: Proven experience as a WooCommerce developer with a portfolio of completed WooCommerce projects. Strong knowledge of WordPress, including custom post types, taxonomies, and the loop. Advanced PHP skills, with the ability to write clean, well-documented code. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery. Experience in developing responsive and user-friendly e-commerce websites. Familiarity with WooCommerce hooks, filters, and REST API. Experience with MySQL database management. Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, including UX/UI design, SEO, and security. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with payment gateway integration. Knowledge of multi-currency or multi-language WooCommerce setups. Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools within WooCommerce. Experience with site performance optimization techniques.
