A Waiter/Waitress is a professional who works in restaurants, bars, hotels and other food-serving and drinking establishments. They ensure guests have an excellent dining experience by providing stellar customer service. They greet guests, take meal orders and ensure smooth communication between the dining area and kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and seating customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Taking accurate orders from customers and conveying them to the kitchen staff.
- Serving food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Answering customer questions and providing recommendations on menu items.
- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Cleaning and resetting tables after customers leave to prepare for the next guests.
- Assisting with food preparation and ensuring the kitchen is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborating with other waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Following all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
