Job Description

Manually producing custom doors and windows and frames 

Responsibilities

Technical Proficiency:

  • Skilled in cutting, shaping, and assembling UPVC/Aluminum profiles.
  • Experience with tools and machinery specific to fabrication, such as saws, routers, drills, and welding equipment.

Blueprint Reading:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for doors and windows.

Measurement Accuracy:

  • Strong skills in precise measurement and cutting to ensure that components fit perfectly.

Assembly Skills:

  • Proficiency in assembling frames, sashes, and hardware for doors and windows.
  • Knowledge of glazing techniques for fitting glass panels.

Quality Control:

  • Attention to detail to ensure finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Ability to inspect and correct defects in materials and final products.

Installation Knowledge:

  • Understanding of the installation process for doors and windows, including sealing and alignment techniques.
  • Familiarity with the use of fasteners, adhesives, and other installation materials.

Safety Awareness:

  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to fabrication and handling materials.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery.

Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the fabrication process.

Time Management:

  • Efficient in managing time to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.

Teamwork and Communication:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with other team members, supervisors, and clients.
