Responsibilities
The following are the key responsibilities: · The role of the Tutor / governess is to improve the kid’s education, confidence, behavior and self-care. · Organize a monthly calendar for the children. · During the schooldays, to drop & pick up the kids from school & stay with them until they have completed their dinner. · During the weekends organize a study time, activity time and play dates. · Plan ahead their studies & activities during the break time with the kids. · Make sure is in touch with their school and their extracurricular activities. · Will be hands-on with the ability to liaise with school teachers to keep up to date with the curriculum. · Their school follows an international curriculum; Outside of school, the governess should be a firm but fair role model with the ability to engage and encourage the kids in their daily lives. · When the kids return to school, the governess should be able to create benchmarks and targets to motivate the kids in their learning. · In addition, she should be able to tutor them in the subjects in which they may need extra help. · Help and encourage the children to reach their full academic potential. · Role model and in charge of organizing extracurricular activities such as sports, music and arts & crafts. · To educate the children about healthy eating and lifestyle. · Help the kids with language development and social manners. · Excellent behavior & etiquette should also be encouraged to help the kids prepare for adulthood. · When kids are at school, the governess has to monitor the house staff members and make sure that all their responsibilities are carried out correctly. · Well-experienced candidate who is firm and confident. * Driving is not required as a driver will be provided for work-related travel.
Desired Candidate Profile
The governess should be a fluent speaker of Arabic & English, a degree-educated qualified teacher able to engage and inspire the children, and to gain their trust and respect. Teaching knowledge in other languages will be an added advantage. Key criteria’s: · Playful and loves being around with kids. · Professional, flexible, zero attitude and positive, immaculate hygiene is must. · Good communication skills. · Must have excellent presentation and work to meticulous attention to detail and good work ethic. · Ability to multitask and use initiative.
