Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and testing of transformer components and finished products using various tools and techniques. Evaluate product quality and performance against established criteria.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, defect rates, and production performance. Use statistical methods to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Establish quality requirements and conduct supplier audits as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations for management review.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures, best practices, and quality standards. Foster a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably in the transformers manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO standards).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and quality management software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
