Tower Crane Operator
Job Description
Crane and tower operators use cable and tower equipment to lift and move materials, machinery, or other heavy objects. From a control station, operators extend and retract horizontal booms, rotate the superstructure, and lower and raise hooks attached to cables at the end of their crane or tower.
Responsibilities
- Operating the tower crane to lift and move materials, machinery, or other loads.
- Inspecting the crane for safety issues each day.
- Performing routine maintenance to keep the crane in good working condition.
- Communicating with the ground crew to ensure safety. Following all safety standards and procedures.
