Job Description

  • Single point of contact with OEM’s for co-ordination of requests for repair schemes and with regard to all technical matters pertaining to modifications, technical queries, troubleshooting & product improvement.
  • Single point of contact with Design Agencies for co-ordination and provision of technical data in relation to modifications required for Company aircraft i.a.w QCAA certification and regulation requirements.
  • Participate in the investigation of aircraft incidents and accidents as requested, aircraft incidents and component failures, and to recommend necessary actions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Function as leads on projects that include & are not limited to : aircraft/component procurements, registration changes, aircraft surveys, modification surveys, reliability improvements, troubleshooting regimes, communications with clients & 3rd parties.
  • Function as leads on systems specific to disciplines such as avionics, A & C, engines covering GHC’s fleet regardless of type.
  • Function as leads for back-office fleet type teams (comprising of airworthiness compliance & junior engineers) for resolution of system & fleet issues.
  • Review all Technical Literature issued by Aircraft and Engine Manufacturers, Vendors and Airworthiness Authorities and recommending necessary action to embody improvements, to ensure Flight Safety and continued Airworthiness of Company aircraft.
  • Assist in monitoring of computer trend systems (TSE in charge)
  • P&WC CAMP engine health monitoring
  • Exceedance monitoring system and Turbine Tracker
  • Any other monitoring systems that may be introduced
  • Respond to all technical queries generated from the Company Main Base of Operation and from operations away from base, as applicable.
  • Review all Company Incident Reports, Voyage Reports, MOR’s & MEMS as assigned and take the necessary action to prevent a re-occurrence. This function is to be carried out in conjunction with Director of QCM&HSE, CA Manager, Technical Services and Reliability Manager and where appropriate, the manufacturer or repair agencies and any other agencies as applicable.
  • Identify and recommend action with regard to defects likely to compromise Flight Safety.
  • Review the reliability of components in order to reduce or eradicate problems affecting those components, which realise an unacceptably high failure
  • rate, at minimum cost to the company.
