Structural Engineering Design Lead . Job location: Qatar Onshore Contract Duration: 3 yrs. with possible extension Salary & Benefits: Excellent day rate with monthly living allowances .

Minimum Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience as Structural Lead, in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry.
• Previous knowledge of Brownfield engineering and execution required.
• Good knowledge of electrical, instrument, telecom, piping, and mechanical equipment.
• Lead the Structural Engineering activities for an Offshore Project, ensuring technical requirements and provide support to Offshore Engineering Manager.
• Provide extensive knowledge and understanding on the requirements of ECPI, communicating and efficiently translating Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the contractor.
• Collaborate across disciplines (including Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Pipeline, Umbilical, HSSE and Risk), and monitor the progress and delivery of the engineering sections of the work scope.
• Plan and schedule the Structural engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with Company operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.
• Participate to key design workshop and ensure that Structural design recommendations are correctly implemented, and actions closed before the end of EPCI (Lessons Learned, Value Engineering, HAZOP, 3D model reviews, engineering criticality assessment, etc.).
• Supports Offshore Engineering Manager in monitoring the contractor’s progress on delivery of the required documents in the Structural Eng of Topsides and Pipeline disciplines.
• Participates in inspections at fabrication yards and witnesses installation & acceptances tests.
