Job Description
The Store Keeper will be responsible for managing the storage and movement of goods, including raw materials, finished products, and other supplies within the warehouse. The role requires strict adherence to inventory management protocols, ensuring that all stock movements are accurately recorded and that inventory levels are maintained to support production and sales operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to use computer systems for inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock, ensuring that items match purchase orders and are undamaged.
- Properly store items in designated areas to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock counts to ensure accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies.
- Issue and distribute materials and products to relevant departments based on production needs or sales orders.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments.
- Utilize inventory management software to update stock levels, track movement, and generate reports.
- Implement and follow safety and security protocols to protect stock and maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Assist in the development and improvement of inventory management procedures.
- Handle any discrepancies or issues related to stock movements, investigating causes and implementing corrective actions.
