Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Steel Structural Engineer located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Responsibilities
The Steel Structural Engineer will be responsible for: - Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure. -Ensure compliance with customer requirements, structural stability, soundness, design safety, and conformance with relevant design codes at optimum cost. -Site visits to analyze and propose solutions for field problems and erection errors. Training engineers to achieve optimum results. -Engineering & approval of design drawing and release of drawing for erections and manufacturing. -Responsible for ensuring proper planning of shop drawing release to the workshop.
- Design and analyze steel structures
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Conduct structural calculations and simulations
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers
- Review and approve construction plans
- Manage project timelines and budgets
- Perform site inspections and quality control
- Troubleshoot and resolve structural issues
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements
Desired Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of work experience as a Steel and Metal structural engineer (essential).
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Experience in designing structural Steel. And related software.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in steel structure design and analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility to travel to project sites as needed.
