Job Description
Talabat’s Bahrain Logistics team in Manama seeks a dedicated individual to lead the charge in enhancing the safety and well-being of our delivery heroes. As a Sr. Specialist in Health & Safety, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing safety protocols, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the overall health and safety standards for our valued riders. This role isn’t just about maintaining safety; it’s about driving positive change and championing rider welfare at every step
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize rider safety.
- Continuously improve rider safety and well-being initiatives, incorporating industry best practices.
- Manage the Rider Academy project and facility, aiming to enhance road safety for our riders.
- Improve rider's food handling practices to decrease order failures and improve customer experience.
- Enhance and streamline the reporting process for rider accidents, ensuring suppliers and riders are well-versed in the correct procedures for accurate reporting.
- Improve rider training material, particularly within the Health & Safety Modules.
- Monitor and enhance the rider insurance process, ensuring its efficiency and effectiveness.
- Improve talabat relationship with the Traffic Directorate.
- Address and investigate safety complaints and concerns raised by Suppliers/Riders and customers, implementing corrective action plans to eliminate potential dangers.
- Maintain and ensure rider database integrity and accuracy Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and formulate strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Provide training to suppliers trainers on health and safety procedures, focusing on specific risks in the rider's work environment.
- Train current trainers and Patrollers as required on defensive driving, food handling, and other safety topics.
Qualifications
- HSE certification or relevant qualifications.
- Must have project management experience 3-4 years experience in Health and Safety Experience in developing and implementing safety protocols.
- A proactive approach to risk assessment and mitigation.
- Excellent Leadership skills Problem solver who can find solutions that are practical and effective
- You are happy working in a fast-paced environment and see changes as opportunities.
- Moderate user of G-suite/ Microsoft Office Fluent in English, Arabic, and Urdu is a plus
