Solar Technical Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities
- · Solar Project Management supervising a Multidisciplinary Team of Electrical Engineering, Civil, and other non-technical staff.
- · Managing Tendering preparations, BOQ, BOM especially in managing and putting the best tender together in a timely manner and competitive solution.
- · Managing Multi Project execution in a stretched timely manner as well as managing suppliers with QA, QC, and at competitive pricing.
- · Overall in charge and taking full ownership of all Technical, Project Execution, O&M with cost effectiveness and Quality Assurance. In general, the role will include the delivery of Projects other than the PV Projects.
- · Strong experience and ability to manage clients' expectations and the growth of the company with Due Diligence.
- · Provide Strong Support and Mentoring of less experienced staff in delivering the best project designs.
- · Managing teams, Consultancy, ISO Certifications, corresponding to the clients and Technical approvals as well as being primary contacts for all technical enquiries.
- · Create Site visits to supervise the work that meets company HSE and QA/QC requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- · Having a BSC or BEE in Electrical Engineering
- · PMP and Primavera (is a plus)
- · Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Solar Projects with at least 2 years in a Senior Engineer/Manager position Strong experience in Tendering
- · Expert in full Solar System design especially the PV System, Helioscope /Shadow Analyses, Auto Cad, SLDs, etc.
- · Strong experience in Project execution with a minimum 1-2 years as a site engineer supervising Solar Installation with larger projects greater than 1MW.
