Job Description
- MsC Degree: Mechanical, Chemical or Process engineering
- Experience: 10 + years in site technical office management within petrochemical or Oil & Gas industry for international Clients.
Required hard skills - · Command of all technical matters related to site construction and commissioning activities
- · Command of processes and interfaces between field engineering and detail design, procurement, construction, commissioning.
- · Management of technical staff with more than 10 people.
- · Management of multiple internal stakeholders interfaces.
Required soft skills
· Availability to live and work abroad.

Nice to have
· Previous experience in pipeline projects.
· Knowledge of Middle East Clients standards.
Responsibilities
- · Liaise with Client and represent Contractor for all field engineering related technical matters
- · Direct a team of internal resources to support site activities.
- · Review detail design progress and procurement progress and collaborate with construction team to identify work packages readiness and refine construction work schedule
- · Identify and follow up any discrepancy between detail design and site conditions, propose solutions whereas possible and ask for their approval.
- · Make sure that all site technical queries are conveyed to proper recipient and a coordinated response is given to site technical office
- · Coordinate the interface with external engineering consultant representatives at site and make sure that technical queries are processed in a timely manner and their responses are communicated to the site team.
- · Participate and contribute to site progress meeting.
- · Ensure appropriate document control at site.
- · Coordinate with project engineering manager to ensure smooth transition between design office activities and site office activities.
- · Ensure that contractor procedures and project specific procedures are available to site technical office team and any update to the basis of engineering development are provided accordingly to relevant teams.
- · Ensure that HSE and QA/QC procedures are available and followed by site technical office team.
- · Ensure compliance on communication procedures within the field engineering team and towards stakeholder with regards to engineering outcomes.
- · Coordinate its team to prepare red marked “as built” drawings and “as built” drawings
- · Provide planning and cost control department with updated quantities associated with field engineering outcomes and as built engineering
- · Coordinate with QA/QC department to collate all as built deliverables and vendors documents and submit them to Client.
- · Coordinate with Construction mangers and support them in preparing construction methods.
- · Coordinate with Commissioning manager for the preparation of any engineering supporting document to be attached to the commission plans, procedures, instructions.
- · Identify and process accordingly any instruction received from Client at site which is to be considered variations to the SoW.
