Responsibilities
We are looking for Shooter 1. Operate, maintain, and repair encoder. 2. Operate and maintain vehicles/vessels or other transport means. 3. Read maps and skip lists, navigate in adverse conditions. 4. Ensure correct location of and detonation of all explosive charges. 5. Must abide by and enforce all Global Geophysical Policies including but not limited to HSEQ, Drug & Alcohol, Operational Policies, EnerGeo, IOGP, Client, Local & State Governmental Policies. 6. Responsible for all aspects of health, safety, and environmental concerns in particular work area. Must adhere to Global Geophysical HSEQ policies and demonstrate safe work practices. 7. Be an active participant in the crew HSEQ program and active in daily tail gate meetings. 8. To request Technical, Safety and Quality Training and attend the same as required by management. 9. Required to assist as needed, in any capacity in any department on the crew, at the discretion of the Party Manager/Project Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Must be 21 years of age. Must have current Global Geophysical explosive certification card. Should have ATV safety certification and be trained in First Aid and CPR. Be versed in required and recommended safety procedures and equipment. Must have extensive knowledge of the other areas of the recording crew. Must have good knowledge of all Global Geophysical policies. Must be able to walk up to ten (10) miles a day while carrying a 75 lb. backpack. Working in outdoor environments with varying temperatures and adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Comprehend a variety of rules or instructions furnished in a written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form. Capable of expressing and exchanging ideas. Ability to perceive the colour and nature of animate and inanimate objects or terrain and negotiate them safely. Must have the ability and the willingness to help ensure all aspects of quality, safety, and production.
