Senior Structural Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Structural Engineer with a PhD in Concrete Design to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex concrete structures, including high-rise buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- PhD in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering with specialization in Concrete Design
- Minimum 20 years of experience in the field of structural engineering, with at least 5 years in concrete design
- Strong background in concrete design and analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA) and computational methods
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, SAP2000, and/or Etabs
- Excellent knowledge of local building codes and regulations (e.g. Dubai Municipality regulations)
- Experience working on large-scale projects in the UAE or similar environments
- Strong communication and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on high-rise buildings, bridges, or other complex infrastructure projects in Dubai
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and/or Revit
- Experience with construction phase services and site inspections
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of concrete structures, including foundation design, superstructure design, and detailing
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational modeling to verify structural integrity
- Develop and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g. architecture, mechanical engineering) to ensure comprehensive project solutions
- Provide expert advice on concrete design and construction methodologies to project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
