Parsons is seeking a Senior HVAC Specialist to join our team and provide technical expertise for the design and construction of a state-of-the-art stadium. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive technical expertise to design, implement, and manage the HVAC systems, ensuring optimal functionality and performance in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the design and engineering efforts for the HVAC systems within the stadium.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to integrate HVAC solutions seamlessly into the overall stadium design.
  • Conduct comprehensive site assessments and evaluations to identify potential challenges and develop strategic solutions to address them.
  • Provide expert guidance and support throughout the construction process, including overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any deviations from plans and implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, offering technical advice and recommendations to project teams and clients to optimize HVAC system performance and efficiency.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in HVAC design, installation, and project management, with a proven track record of success in large-scale construction projects, preferably stadiums or similar facilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and technologies, including but not limited to central plants, ductwork, controls, and energy management systems.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
