Job Description

Bachelor’s degree in science/civil engineering or construction management or equivalent.
At least +15 years of experience in major international programs and projects for leading government/semi-government entities with a documented professional history of excellence in project implementation as a direct project manager.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the planning and formulation of alternatives and design solutions for the construction project.
  • Communicate with customer representatives on an ongoing basis regarding project progress and areas of interest.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, financial controls, contracts and quality control provisions.
  • Direct work sequences to speed up project delivery and minimize disruption of ongoing processes.
  • Ensure that project processes comply with design specifications and client requirements
  • Examines and proposes the approval and acceptance of completed projects
  • Ensure compliance with standards, building codes, safety and engineering specifications.
  • Examine and prepare various reports related to processes, procedures and other issues, as appropriate.
  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day project management.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in science/civil engineering or construction management or equivalent.
  • At least +15 years of experience in major international programs and projects for leading government/semi-government entities with a documented professional history of excellence in project implementation as a direct project manager.
  • Experience in direct supervision of the following functional disciplines: Engineering, Project Control, Contracts,
  • Procurement, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Risk Management, Financial Management, Quality
  • Assurance and Quality Control. He gained his experience from large projects.
  • Deep experience working on a global scale (preferably in the Middle East/Saudi Arabia).
  • He has previously worked with a wide range of utility service providers and has dealt extensively with stakeholders from the commercial and public sectors.
  • Previously, he worked in the Continuous Improvement and Capacity Building / Talent Development Support Department.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
  • Proven experience in construction, infrastructure and leading high-performance teams.
  • Computer familiarity in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese is required. Oral and written communication skills in English or Arabic is a plus.
