Senior Procurement Officer – Confidential Company
Responsibilities
- Allocate most competitive prices for quality of goods and service while ensuring the application of procurement policies and procedures.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure most beneficial terms and high quality of goods and services.
- Collect procurement requirements from end user.
- Collect at least three updated quotations from different suppliers and prepare comparison for the review and selection by the end user.
- Review suppliers’ quotations, conditions and payment terms to ensure most beneficial terms for the company and that meet end user requirements.
- Finalize details of orders and deliveries.
- Prepare and review purchase orders (POs) and ensure adequate approval cycle.
- Review suppliers’ order confirmation in accordance with PO.
- Survey market to identify new suppliers.
- Maintain positive relationship with existing and new suppliers.
- Process cash purchases.
- Prepare procurement reports by collecting and analyzing cost, quality, end user requirement, vendor and other information.
- Maintain supplier database.
- Conduct supplier evaluation at least once per year.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration or similar
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in the similar field
- MS Office
- Good English communication, Arabic is preferable
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good understanding of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
- Systematic and analytical approach
- Detail oriented
- Well organized
