The project:

A major urban development project comprising new homes, commercial properties, public spaces, and smart urban mobility. Mace has the opportunity to develop, lead, and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development.

Potentially managing other category leads and engaging with executive and client-level stakeholders. Develops own and team strategies, implementing, managing, and monitoring them end-to-end to deliver goals. Leads the team on certain workstreams and initiatives, delivering on time and to expectations.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Category management and leadership.
  • Development and maintenance of relationship management expertise.
  • Managing and providing leadership to teams, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities, and responsibilities are in place to drive plans and deliver excellence.
  • Due diligence and company/market understanding.
  • Value-creating processes, performance, and commercial activity.
  • Plan development and implementation, including embedding, monitoring, and delivering via others.
  • Delivering on objectives in challenging situations on time.
  • Providing performance management, talent development, and coaching.
  • Developing and maintaining a series of both internal and external relationships.
  • Managing and influencing key/senior stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net-zero carbon transition and sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.


You'll need to have:

  • Relevant degree qualification. CIPS qualification. Professional membership or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Proven experience working on city development programs/projects.
  • Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.


You'll also have:

  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programs.
  • Programme management expertise.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
