Job Purpose & Objectives
Maintains and repairs a variety of equipment including diesel engines, hydraulic machinery, pumping equipment, lifting equipment, and other related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, communicate, liaise with line management, and follow his instructions.
- Inspect and maintain all the equipment in good condition, avoid breakdowns, and diagnose the reasons for failure/breakdown if any occur.
- Request new spare parts, and equipment & maintaining the consumption record, forecasting future requirements.
- Ensure that all information and events on site are logged accurately and handed over to the Foreman.
- Assist the Workshop manager/ workshop in charge, Site Supervisor, Foreman, and other mechanic
- Should have a basic working knowledge of HSE procedures in common practices and report all unsafe acts and conditions.
- Need to perform & supervise the major overhauling of equipment at the workshop.
- Need to provide technical advice to mechanics and other technicians at the workshop.
- Need to perform & supervise and take the lead for engine overhauling.
- Support the mechanics for proper troubleshooting of equipment at the workshop and site if required.
- Need to lead all technicians and monitor all kinds of repairs are going as per the schedule.
- Should have good hands-on troubleshooting in related equipment.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Technical certificate preferable in Auto Mechanics or high school with specialized training
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in a similar role within a Geotechnical Organization or similar working environment.
- Language: Good command of the English language both written and spoken
