The Senior Logistics Officer will spearhead the procurement and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and local regulations. The role demands strategic planning, negotiation, and management of logistics and transportation services to fulfill company and client needs.

This role is designed for a resilient, innovative thinker who can handle stress and multitask effectively, ensuring the smooth operation of the Company’s logistics activities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic planner with a strong quantitative background, capable of leading the team to success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement processes in line with Company policies and standards. 
  • Formulate and execute logistics strategies to enhance transportation, customer service, whilst fully complying to Qatar laws and regulations. 
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts to always secure the Company’s interests. 
  • Manage the logistics function, maintaining ISO 9001:2015 standards throughout the procedure. 
  • Monitor agreements, oversee invoices and payments. 
  • Advise on shipping best practices and administer international shipments ensuring regulatory compliance in addition to inbound and outbound logistics. 
  • Prepare and manage import/export documentation, for timely and cost efficient delivery. 
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure smooth logistics operations. 
  • Maintain precise logistics records, ensuring data integrity within electronic systems. 
  • Achieve set targets in terms of cost, productivity, accuracy, and timelines. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and quality systems. 
  • Independently manage multiple projects, showcasing strong organizational skills.

Procurement Scope of Work: 

  • Evaluate and register suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions. · Issue and administer end to end procurement. 
  • Sustain positive supplier relationships and efficiently resolve disputes. · Manage & evaluate Vendors.

Logistics Scope of Work:

  • Ensure orders and shipments are in place and on schedule.
  • Manage shipping documents and secure pre-approvals for clearance operations.
  • Secure transit insurance for shipments and confirm orders meet specifications.
  • Provide cost-effective logistics solutions and maintain strong service provider relationships.
  • Fulfill accounting requirements and prepare payment to allocate project costs.
