Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation & Control is required. Masters will be an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Able to provide technical support to Instrument Maintenance Section, identifying the bad actors, recommend and implement long term solutions.
  • Develop appropriate solutions to maintenance problems, using new or existing technologies, through innovation, creativity, and change.
  • Study current practices and recommend optimum solutions in line with industry’s best practices to meet specific requirements for existing instrumentation and control systems.
  • Develop standard documentation and specifications in line with the latest international standards.
  • Maintain active dialogue with section and department heads and other managerial and supervisory staff with respect to effective maintenance of the instrumentation and control equipment and systems. Seek out opportunities for teamwork to improve the business and develops these with the help of the section head.
  • Provide a successful, timely, and safe and cost – effective Instrument Maintenance service for all instrumentation and control equipment and systems under his area of responsibility.
  • Monitor workload, team’s activities, and resources to ensure adequate resources are always available to implement the activities of the team and maintain reasonable backlog.
  • Proficiency in Yokogawa Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and ESD systems.
  • Strong background in field instrumentation and Analyzer instruments
  • Familiarity with various PLC systems
  • Focus on reliability-centered maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving complex instrumentation issues.
  • Skilled in overseeing calibration and testing of instruments for accuracy.
  • Ability to lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment failure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation & Control is required. Masters will be an advantage.
  • Participated in HAZOP and CHAZOP studies and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) verification and determination as well as incident investigations.
  • Participated in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) for various projects such as
  • Emergency Shutdown System (ESD), Distributed Control System (DCS) and Program Logic Controller (PLC).
  • Participated in commissioning various instrument engineering projects, such as compressor anti surge control system, air compressor programmable logic controller, steam turbine speed governor control system, gas turbine control system, distributed control system, safety instrumented system and vibration monitoring system, and involved in plants turnaround and inspection activities.
  • Developed and implemented maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Spearheaded spare parts inventory management and procurement processes to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Mentored and trained junior engineers in best practices for instrumentation maintenance.
