Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum of 12+ years of experience in comprehensive mega projects Job role includes taking overall responsibility for Electrical Engineer on mega projects.
12+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Review the electrical drawings submitted and specifications according to local and international codes and standards and international best practices
- Review the electrical shop drawings submitted and materials submitted against approved drawings and specifications, local laws, legal requirements and international best practices
- Ensure that the design consultant complies with all Hill International and Tunnel Authority's internal processes and procedures
- Participate in value engineering procedures.
- Contributes to the preparation of quality assurance/quality control procedures for electricity for the project.
- Consults with other engineering department managers to ensure the smooth flow of vital information needed for the scheduled completion of construction work.
- Arranging support for the needs of other engineering departments
- Support the construction management team during construction and commissioning.
- Advises on design changes or limiting specific changes for review.
- He regularly visits the site to inspect the progress of the electrical installation and identify nonconformities.
- Provide relevant visibility into facilities related to construction issues.
- Provide technical support during the construction period and review the plans as built (as built)
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.

- 12+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
- Proven track record of successfully completing diverse electrical projects, ranging from small-scale residential installations to large-scale industrial systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project objectives.
- Experience in collaborating with other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, civil, and software engineering.
- In-depth understanding of electrical circuit theory, electromagnetism, electronics, and control systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, such as NEC, IEC, and IEEE.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and hazard mitigation techniques.
- Understanding of power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and stability studies.
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and instrumentation, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify, analyze and solve technical problems related to electrical systems.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and improve system performance.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams, provide technical information clearly, and interact with stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and schedule tasks, track progress, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, equipment evaluation reports, equipment specifications, etc. in English.
- Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, methods, materials and computers used in the field.
- Knowledge of past practices in the field and of the principles and practices applied in the relevant fields.
- Knowledge of industry regulatory rules and standards and design and/or planning standards applied in the industry.
- Knowledge of engineering procedures, design guidelines, automated and managerial practices.
- Good experience in reviewing shop drawings and drawings by port.
- Good knowledge of reviewing pre-construction designs.
- Good experience in reviewing shop drawings and drawings by port.
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese is required. Oral and written communication skills in English or Arabic is a plus.
