Responsibilities Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Technical Director to join our PMI division in Doha, Qatar. We envisage success in this role to include: - Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the building department. - Lead and oversee all technical aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and mission. - Collaborate with executive management to set project priorities and allocate resources effectively. - Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of complex building projects. - Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. - Provide direction and support to project managers, engineers, and other technical staff. - Monitor project progress and performance, and implement corrective actions when necessary. - Serve as the primary technical advisor, providing expert guidance on engineering, construction methods, and building codes. - Review and approve project designs, plans, and specifications. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards. - Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners. - Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. - Represent the company in meetings, presentations, and negotiations with clients and external stakeholders. - Mentor and develop a team of project managers, engineers, and technical staff. - Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the department. - Identify training and development opportunities for team members. - Implement and maintain quality assurance and control processes across all projects. - Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. - Address and resolve any quality issues or defects promptly. - Oversee the preparation and management of project budgets. - Monitor financial performance, including costs, revenue, and profitability. - Ensure effective cost control measures are in place and adhered to. - Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies. - Promote continuous improvement in processes, techniques, and project delivery methods. - Stay updated on industry trends, developments, and best practices. - Ensure all projects comply with local, national, and international building codes and regulations. - Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals. - Manage environmental, health, and safety compliance across all projects. - Prepare and present detailed project reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments. - Maintain accurate project documentation and records for reference and compliance purposes.
Requirements:
