Responsibilities
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export laws, and clearance procedures to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth transactions.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills to oversee customs clearance operations, coordinate with customs officials, and manage a team of clearance agents.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with customs authorities, clients, and shipping agents to resolve issues and expedite clearance processes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy to review and verify customs documentation, tariffs, and duties for accuracy and completeness.
- Problem-solving skills to address customs-related challenges, mitigate risks, and optimize clearance processes for efficient import/export operations.
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
