Senior Architect
Job Description
Reviewing and designing architectural and engineering plans.
Responsibilities
- • Understand the project brief and client requirements and reviews the contract documents, project specifications, design drawings and BOQ, identifies the architectural requirements of the project and contributes in the feasibility study of the project with the design manager, architects and other professional parties.
- Review the concept design and ensures compliance with the client requirements, budget and all as per time schedule. Contribute in obtaining on time the approval of client on the concept design, managing in the project design as directed by the design manager and IMS procedure.
- Ensure the deliverables on time for all design stages such as concept, schematic, detailed design and construction documents and liaises with estimation department that design deliverables are within the budget.
- Set up architectural requirements of the codes, local authorities, safety standards, urban planning, environment requirement and others to be implemented in the formal agreements/contracts with consultants, client representative , project management organization and other external bodies.
- Conduct value engineering review of the drawings to ensure the best details and construction methodology with the least cost and time and to follow up on the change orders and proceed with the required process.
- Establish the design criteria with the Architect of record developed in coordination with structural engineer, MEP engineer, interior designer and end user operation requirements.
- Review the design deliverables in all stages such as concept, schematic, detailed design and IFC and ensures compliance with the client requirements, time schedules, budget and with the authorities regulations.
- Review the design development and ensures technical compliance with standards.
- Conduct constructability review for the design documents and provide solution/ alternatives for the raised issues.
