Responsibilities
The key selection criteria for this job are: - Engineering Degree from recognised tertiary Institution (Civil, Mechanical, or other relevant Engineering) - At least 6, preferably 8 years specific work Experience in an Engineering Solutions Oriented Environment (Civil/Construction, Manufacturing, Other), with at least 3 years in Sales, with a favourable sales record, ideally gained in new customer sales/acquisition. - A sales/commercial qualification of at least 1 year would be a recommendation - Ready use of English (speaking, reading and writing) - A valid driver’s license - An entrepreneurial mindset. The successful incumbent will have been able to combine a strong engineering solutions competence with a convincing approach to sales, sales development and closure of sales opportunities. A strong team and engagement with others orientation is very desirable, The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following Key Performance Areas: 1. Sales Plans & Report-Back Effectiveness (incl. Ops Budget control) 2. Relationships and Sales Funnel* Development Effectiveness 3. Existing Customer Sales (once customers are onboarded they become existing customers) 4. New Customer Sales (the immediate focus area) 5. Solutions Development Effectiveness (superior solutions competitively positioned) 6. Specialised Know-How Support Effectiveness within Region (technical specialisation) 7. Branding Effectiveness in Target Market(s) (in particular with customers/supply chain) 8. Self Development Effectiveness (remaining relevant and capable) 9. Problem Solving & After-care Effectiveness (incl. Project Management)
