Our client is a forward-thinking agrochemical company specializing in the development, formulation, and global marketing of branded crop protection and plant nutrition products

Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the product portfolio, including biostimulants, plant nutrition, fertilizers, and pesticides, and stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Provide in-depth technical knowledge and support directly to farmers, effectively communicating the value and benefits of the products.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the agriculture sector, focusing on direct engagement with farmers.
  • Conduct on-farm product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to showcase the technical advantages of the solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships directly with farmers, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct regular visits to farmers to ensure customer satisfaction, address concerns, and explore opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering technical insights and recommendations to optimize farmers' agricultural practices.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date farmer records, sales activities, and forecasts.
  • Prepare comprehensive sales reports and analyses, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Analysis and Intelligence:

  • Conduct on-field market analyses to identify trends, competitive landscape, and areas for potential business growth.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on direct farmer interactions, contributing to the enhancement of existing products and the development of new offerings.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
  • Similar experience in sales in the agricultural industry.
  • A strong passion for sales and a desire to learn and grow in this field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a determination to succeed.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
