Job Description
Accountable for the quality of material and workmanship of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction of civil infrastructure and related works interfacing with multidisciplinary processes.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project/ projects including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instructions/observations, permanent materials delivered, method statements, inspection test plans, checklists and other important QA/QC documents based on project specification.
- Responsible for the closure of NCR's and SI's related to the projects. · Responsible for the preparation of the QA Manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions for Asphalt Division.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining quality standards that apply to onsite construction work, ensuring proper implementation and post inspection of completed works to comply with the quality requirements of the project.
- Represent client quality meetings, pre-bid meetings, subcontractor/vendor prequalifying committee meetings, internal and external audits representing Asphalt Division.
- Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes.
- Review quality of all materials at pre-production stock and at site to ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality. To collaborate with the respective departments for the production and procurement of all materials to maintain the quality standards as per the requirement.
- Liaise with the plant manager and independent laboratories for Material Submittals to the consultant.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs, review forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality data and make improvements / revisions to improve the process.
- Develop and implement procedures for disposing/rectifying/replacing discrepant material and or workmanship and devise method to access cost and responsibility.
- Direct and guide QC technicians / inspectors engaged in measuring and testing products and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
- Responsible for quality control engineering such as process control, incoming material, material and workmanship evaluation, material and workmanship reliability, inventory control, testing and administrative applications as required or instructed by the project / divisional manager.
- Keep Official Record & Documents (Hard Copy Booklets) of all the tests done instruction received & follow up.
