QA/QC Welding Inspector – Piping & Structural – People Dynamics
Responsibilities
- To perform QA.QC functions related to fabrication and site installations as per project quality plan and specifications for Structural, Piping, welding, GRE but not limited to the requirements stated.
- Interpret construction and technical drawings including required inspections to be carried out as per ITP and specifications.
- Communicate engineering/technical/quality requirement to team.
- Perform material inspection and ensure that it conforms to the requirements
- Acts on the ITP approved for the Project and follow up on the Inspection Requirements;
- Knowledge in Welding Process and Welding Consumables
- Perform Inspection at vendors shop facilities and work-sites, on fabricated pipes, steel structure works, galvanizing or other installation works per ASME and ANSI codes, including verification of tests.
- Check for weld joint preparations, fit-up alignment, dimensional tolerances and visual check on weld.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspection before, during and after welding to ensure compliance.
- Prepare NDT request and submit to NDT Coordinator
- Prepare Test Packages and compile inspection documents
- Follow-up on corrective action of non-conforming products.
- Perform Line Walk inspection
- Witness hydrotest.
- Ensure flange management in the project
- Coordinate for reinstatement inspection
- Ensure material handling and clean built in the project
- Understand and comply with relevant HSE requirements by client and government.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Min 3 years experience from Oil & gas industry
- QE projects experienced preferred.
- CSWIP welding certified.
