Psychiatric Nurse – United for Manpower Solutions
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments of patients, including mental status examinations and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor and document patient progress, including changes in symptoms and response to treatment.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring for side effects.
- Educate patients and families about medication management, including potential side effects and interactions.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities and support groups to promote mental health and coping strategies.
- Address patient behavioral issues and crises with appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms.
- Offer guidance on managing mental health conditions at home and accessing community resources.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in treatment planning meetings and contribute to case discussions and decision-making.
