Responsibilities Our newest opportunity is for a talented Structural Engineer to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We envisage success in this role to include; - Support engineering team in preparation of scopes of work, specifications, and drawings for civil / structural discipline work packages primarily related to Industrial / commercial and Infrastructure works. - Attending the project kick off meeting. - Developing the design development plan and design interfaces. - Coordinating with the other functions within the project team to ensure deliverables developed are aligned. - Attending page turn reviews for all work packages. - Supporting Project Management during the tender period (e.g., responding to bidder queries, revising engineering deliverables, etc.). - Participating in technical evaluations. - Managing the progress of design deliverables to enable the commencement of construction. - Management of all engineering / technical issues arising during the execution of the project. - Attending periodic progress review meetings both internally and with the contractor(s) and consultant(s) to ensure project and work package engineering requirements are being achieved. - Monthly assessment of engineering deliverables status. - Support review of shop drawings / RFI and issuance of Site instructions for projects as per requirement. - Identifying any updates to engineering standards and engineering lessons learned based on the project execution.
Requirements:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or similar. Must have experience working within an engineering team on the design development of construction projects either as a client or as a contractor, with specific experience in the process of developing scopes,concept design, and engineering support.
