Dutco Construction Group started operations in the United Arab Emirates in the 1970s. The Group comprises of the following Companies:
- BK Gulf LLC – Leading MEP Contractor
- BK GCC – Leading MEP & Civils Contractor in KSA
- DBB Contracting LLC – Leading Civils & MEP Contractor
- Dutco Construction LL – Leading Building Contractor
We employ more than 10,000 people, making us one of the largest construction companies in the region with an extensive track record in large-scale projects including power stations, reservoirs, hotels, airport infrastructure and port development.
Many of the country’s highways, tunnels and bridges have been engineered and built by us, allowing the use of our in-house asphalt, concrete, plant, and machinery.
For almost 50 years we have built a strong and loyal client base across both the public and private sectors whilst working on the UAE’s iconic projects.
We are expanding our project management team within KSA, and are looking to recruit a Project Director for full Civil & MEP scope experience (building projects), key duties will be:
- Project Leadership: Provide strong leadership throughout all project phases, from initiation to completion.
- Data Centre Expertise: Leverage expertise in Data Centre projects to address specific challenges and requirements unique to this sector.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Budget Management: Oversee budgeting processes, monitor project expenditures.
- Schedule Management: Ensuring timely delivery of milestones and completion within deadlines.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- QA/QC: Implement QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Contract Administration: Administer contracts, negotiation, and contract closeout processes.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance.
- Team Management: Lead multidisciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication channels.
- Design Management: Oversee the design development process, ensuring coordination between Civil and MEP disciplines.
- Procurement Management: Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Construction Management: Monitor construction activities, coordinate with contractors, and address site issues to ensure project progress and compliance with safety standards.
- Commissioning and Handover: Oversee commissioning activities and facilitate the smooth handover of the project to the client.
- Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring appropriate documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards relevant to Civil and MEP disciplines.
- Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project outcomes while controlling costs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify lessons learned and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes.
- Knowledge Transfer: Share knowledge and mentor junior staff to build capacity within the project team.
Desired Candidate Profile
- BSc Engineering in CIVIL Engineering or ELECTRICAL Engineering.
- PMP
- UPTIME Certificate
- 20+ years, Data Centre experience a plus
