Job Description
A procurement engineer is responsible for acquiring materials and services needed for projects. These professionals work closely with the engineering and supply chain departments to analyze technical requirements, identify suitable suppliers, and negotiate contracts.
Responsibilities
- • Main responsibilities will be General Construction Procurement. (covering supply of consumables, project & mobilization materials, daily local purchases and management of tenders assigned by Procurement Manager)
- Manages the communication, bidder’s queries and Tender Addendums during the tender period with necessary input from the Technical Team where required.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and delivery standards.
- Organize tenders – gathers offers from various suppliers and subcontractors, does bid comparisons,
- Obtain and compare quotes, then negotiate with vendors on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the best value for Corporate
- Knowledge of Asian Construction Market Players is an advantage
- Track and expedite project materials with vendors for international project site
- Coordinate with Head Office-based and on-site project engineers/managers to ensure necessary materials are ordered
- Coordinate with project teams to identify and prioritize procurement needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Engineering and operations participation and coordination, as needed
