Planning Engineer – Al Samamat Industrial Services Co Ltd
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed work plans and schedules for valve overhauling, removal, installation, and inspection during shutdowns.
- Create and maintain a master schedule that includes all activities, milestones, and timelines for shutdowns, ensuring that critical path activities are identified and managed effectively.
- Collaborate with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure that all planning activities align with production requirements and minimize downtime.
- Daily update of work progression.
2. Resource Allocation:
- Determine the resource requirements (manpower, equipment, materials, etc.) needed for each shutdown activity.
- Coordinate with procurement, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that all necessary resources are available and allocated efficiently.
3. Risk Management & Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks and bottlenecks in the shutdown process and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Monitor shutdown activities to ensure that schedules are adhered to, and any deviations are promptly addressed.
4. Coordination with Teams:
- Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, and technicians to ensure smooth execution of shutdown activities, both at the shop and on-site.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including contractors, to ensure that all parties are aware of the schedule, requirements, and safety protocols.
5. Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track the progress of shutdown activities and update schedules accordingly.
- Provide regular progress reports to management, highlighting any potential delays or issues.
- Analyze completed work against the plan to identify areas for improvement in future shutdowns.
6. Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure that all planning documents, schedules, and reports are properly maintained and archived.
- Ensure that all shutdown activities comply with relevant safety standards, quality requirements, and industry regulations.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Review and analyze shutdown performance data to identify opportunities for optimization in future shutdowns.
- Propose improvements to planning processes, tools, and methods to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
