Job Description

The PCN (Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing) Technician is responsible for performing the assigned non-destructive tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of materials, components, and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
  • Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of NDT instruments.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in NDT.
  • Participate in training programs and certification renewals.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Valid PCN Level 2 certification in PCN UT(3.1,3.2,3.8) + PCN MT
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience from the date of PCN certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Physically fit to handle the demands of the job.

Work Environment:

  • The role may involve working at various industrial sites, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and on-call as required.
