Job Description
The PCN (Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing) Technician is responsible for performing the assigned non-destructive tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of materials, components, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of NDT instruments.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and exposure to hazardous materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in NDT.
- Participate in training programs and certification renewals.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid PCN Level 2 certification in PCN UT(3.1,3.2,3.8) + PCN MT
- Education: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experience from the date of PCN certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the job.
Work Environment:
- The role may involve working at various industrial sites, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and on-call as required.
