Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Stay abreast of current trends, developments, and prices in the modern and contemporary art market. Conduct research on artists, art movements, and art market dynamics to informed purchasing decisions.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence on artworks to ensure authenticity, legality, and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Verify provenance, ownership history, and documentation for each artwork.
  • Content Development / Catalog Creation : Oversee the writing of catalog descriptions, artist biographies, and historical context for auction lots. Manage the creation and production of auction catalogs for upcoming sales with the Coordinate of various departments, including marketing, photography, and curatorial teams, to gather information and images for catalog entries.
  • Auction Logistics: Oversee the planning and execution of auction events, including cataloging, photography, staging, and promotion. Coordinate with auctioneers, specialists, and vendors to ensure smooth and successful auction operations.
