Responsibilities
  • Manage key day-to-day liaison activities with Lean Champions and operational management at the site.
  • Work with - and coach - operational staff to gain trust and support for the areas in focus
  • Develop capability (and knowledge transfer) to ensure delivery of effective results and sustainable lean transformation
  • Deliver reports/feedback to identified stakeholders (including plans to meet objectives) at an agreed frequency
  • Communicate effectively with, and gather information from, all organizational levels.
  • Communicate effectively to internal stakeholders, escalating risks as required
  • Ensure the site is adhering to the project plan and has countermeasures for off-target items
  • Support and guide operations to deliver SLA/ KPIs – this may require a detailed diagnostic of the agreed focus area, to establish the current state and opportunities for process improvement
  • Define and set future state (stretch) targets, KPIs, and objectives, and agree these with the operational team and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead teams to design and implement a future state which meets the required objectives, targets and KPIs of the project.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 Year Experience in Coaching / mentoring / Leading the delivery of Lean methodologies, techniques, and principles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Delivery and facilitation of Lean training and kaizen events and workshops.
  • Operational experience in the implementation of Lean philosophy and methods.
  • Experience in managing projects and delivering objectives to timescales.
  • Experience of Lean in a variety of environments.
  • Expert in Lean with experience in Creative Problem Solving (CPS), Process re-engineering, process mapping (MIFA), Yamazumi, standardized work, SMED, kaizen, TPM, 5S, Visual Control Management, kanban, andon, Poka-yoke, SMED, etc.
  • Knowledge of all Lean principles, procedures, methods, and techniques is essential.
  • The requirement to use analytical skills and judgment to draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Influencing skills at all levels of the business (change management)
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Understanding and experience in Digital solutions management and coding – Desirable.
