Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Network Team Read to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team
of network engineers and technicians in designing, implementing, and maintaining our company’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of network engineers and associated staff, setting clear objectives and monitoring team performance.
- Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks.
- Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
- Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation.
- Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Arrange scheduled upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
- Document network layouts and configurations and keep these documents up to date.
- Ensure data and system security through regular audits and compliance checks.
- Respond to network-related issues promptly and resolve escalated issues as required.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
- Mentor and develop staff through training plans and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to determine and address their network needs and requirements.
- Manage and report on allocation of IT budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, CCDP) is preferred.
- Proven experience in a network administrator role for at least 5 years, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS).
- Sharp troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to see potential issues and proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure accessibility.
