Network and Security Engineer
Job Description
Design, configure, and maintain secure network architectures for both on-premise and AWS environments. Implement and configure AWS Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), including route tables, subnets, endpoints, VPC peering, and Transit Gateway (TGW) peering. Develop and enforce security policies and procedures specifically for AWS environments, ensuring proper configuration of VPC designs, IAM roles, and security groups. Implement and manage network security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
Responsibilities
Monitoring and Response: Continuously monitor network traffic for suspicious activity or potential threats. Respond to security incidents promptly, performing root cause analysis and implementing remediation measures. Security Policy Development Develop, document, and enforce security policies and procedures to govern both on-premise and AWS environments Compliance and Documentation Ensure that network security practices meet relevant compliance requirements (e.g. PCI DSS ISO27001, CBB Risk management module ). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience) CCNP,NSE4 or PCNSE Experience 5 to 6 years experience Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on multiple hardware platform Cisco, FortiGate Sophos

- Develop, implement, and enforce network security policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management and IT teams
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the response to network security incidents, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to contain and resolve issues promptly.
- Lead and mentor junior security team members, providing guidance and support on security best practices and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure that network security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization’s infrastructure.
- Lead the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, ensuring that risks are appropriately managed
