Job Description
We are urgently seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner with a strong background in the fabric retail industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing demand forecasting, inventory management, and coordinating supply chain operations to ensure seamless product availability and optimal stock levels.
Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to accurately forecast demand and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Inventory Management: Develop and implement strategies for inventory control, minimizing excess stock, and ensuring product availability.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with suppliers, logistics teams, and stores to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
- Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align business strategies and ensure cohesive planning.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Regularly analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions, generate reports, and provide insights to management.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from introduction to discontinuation, ensuring optimal performance at each stage.
- Collaboration and Communication: Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, facilitating smooth operations and effective problem-solving.
