- BK GCC – Leading MEP & Civils Contractor in KSA
- DBB Contracting LLC – Leading Civils & MEP Contractor
- Dutco Construction LL – Leading Building Contractor
We employ more than 10,000 people, making us one of the largest construction companies in the region with an extensive track record in large-scale projects including power stations, reservoirs, hotels, airport infrastructure and port development.
Many of the country’s highways, tunnels and bridges have been engineered and built by us, allowing the use of our in-house asphalt, concrete, plant, and machinery.
For almost 50 years we have built a strong and loyal client base across both the public and private sectors whilst working on the UAE’s iconic projects.
We are expanding our Project Management team in KSA, and are looking to recruit an MEP Project Director (building projects), key duties will be:
- Project Planning and Strategy: Develop project plans and strategies specifically tailored to MEP systems within Data Centre projects, considering unique requirements such as redundancy, energy efficiency, and scalability.
- Data Centre Expertise Integration: Apply specialized knowledge and expertise in Data Centre design and construction to optimize MEP systems for reliability, efficiency, and scalability, addressing unique requirements such as cooling, power distribution, and fire suppression.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring compliance.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to align MEP designs with project objectives, budget constraints, and schedule requirements.
- Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures, to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints without compromising quality or performance.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain MEP project schedules, coordinating with other disciplines to ensure timely completion of milestones and timelines.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks related to MEP systems, such as equipment failure, design conflicts, and regulatory compliance issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
- QA/QC: Implement robust QA/QC processes to ensure MEP systems meet design specifications, performance requirements, conducting inspections and audits as necessary.
- Contract Management: Administer MEP contracts, including change orders, and contract closeout, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
- Resource Allocation and Management: Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize MEP project performance and ensure the timely delivery of deliverables within budgetary constraints.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Commissioning and Handover: Oversee MEP commissioning activities, including testing, verification, and documentation, to ensure systems are fully functional, reliable, and compliant with project requirements prior to handover to the client.
- Client Communication and Satisfaction: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on MEP project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering high-quality MEP solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure MEP designs and installations comply with relevant building codes, regulations, obtaining necessary permits and approvals while adhering to environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
MEP Project Director with Data Centre experience ensure successful delivery of projects, ensuring the seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall project framework while meeting client expectations.
- BSc Engineering in MECHANICAL Engineering or ELECTRICAL Engineering.
- PMP
- UPTIME Certificate
- 20+ years, Data Centre experience a plus.
- Working knowledge project management and process
