Job Description
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with MEP design and industry standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely completion of MEP installations.
- Oversee the procurement of MEP equipment and materials, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress of MEP installations and address any issues or concerns.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure proper installation and functioning of MEP systems.
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals for MEP systems.
- Manage MEP documentation, including record keeping, progress reports, and change orders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any MEP-related problems or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in MEP technology to ensure best practices are implemented.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Professional certifications related to MEP coordination or project management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP coordination or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and design principles.
- Proficiency in using MEP software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
