Job Description
As a warehouse manager, you’ll need to: liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies. coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods. use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate the warehousing and associated storage areas to the highest safety standards expected by Siemens
- Communicate health and safety responsibilities to your team
- Ensure all materials staff and trained and certified to carryout their duties
- Responsible for any warranty related topics when we have received substandard materials, goods, supplies etc from our suppliers
- Develop relationships and processes with all internal and external customers to meet our requirements
- Ensure that all records are kept accurate within the CMMS (CorMap) to aid the re-ordering process and our KPI’s are met
- Materials planning & scheduling both short (PPM, mods, campaigns) and long term (Overhaul) material requirements; bill of material preparation, verifying requirements, new float and obsolescence management
- Supervision and co-ordination of staff engaged in store activities and compilation and maintenance of records of supply transactions
- Responsible for maintenance of spares
- Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness within the storage and workshop areas including COSHH and dangerous goods storage
- Ensuring the calibration & certification of plant equipment, tools and instruments to support all O+M activities with the depot and workshop areas
- Maintain material records & preparation of reports (KPI related)
- Supervise and assist the receiving and issuing of stock
- Supervise and handle day to day of material movement tasks
