Job Description

A highly skilled engineer with a background in civil or geotechnical engineering is required for a challenging role. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the Gulf region. Previous employment in third-party laboratories or civil works/road works contractor laboratories is highly desirable. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in relevant international standards and testing methods and equipment. They should also have the ability to develop mix designs and conduct trial mixes. The candidate must be adaptable to multiple specification platforms and possess a deep understanding of the standard requirements for related works. Excellent communication skills are essential as the candidate will be working with a multidisciplinary team. Proven experience in testing soil and concrete and obtaining approval for concrete mix designs is a must.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct testing of soil and concrete samples according to relevant international standards.
  • Develop mix designs and conduct trial mixes to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, and prepare detailed reports for project teams and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with standard requirements and specifications for related works.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide technical support and guidance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in testing methods and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment in the laboratory.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members on testing procedures and techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineers and professionals to develop innovative solutions to material-related challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil or geotechnical).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Gulf region.
