Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Evaluating, repairing, and maintaining plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC systems in the building. Receiving and responding to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises. Maintaining the fire, carbon monoxide, smoke, and other safety systems within the structure.
Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production machinery, including packaging equipment, conveyors, mixers, and other processing equipment. · Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues. ·Replace or repair faulty components, such as motors, sensors, switches, and valves.
Facility Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of building infrastructure, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components. ·Perform repairs and maintenance on facility fixtures, fittings, and utilities.
Safety Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. · Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). ·Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.
Operational Efficiency
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance. ·Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Training and Development
- Assist in training production staff on the proper use and basic maintenance of equipment. ·Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile Education
- Technical Diploma preferred. Minimum Experience and Knowledge: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Job-Specific Skills: Strong hands-on experience of coffee machines. Ice machines, Coffee grinders & spare parts knowledge. Having knowledge of local KSA market.
- Language Skills: Must be able to Communicate in English and Arabic, having excellent written and oral capabilities.
- Working Conditions: This position may require working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support production schedules and emergency repairs.
