Job Description
Logistics Officers are responsible for monitoring stock levels and overseeing the movement of incoming and outgoing goods. They are detail–focused and use computers to manage the inventory databases under their control.
Responsibilities
- • Arrange shipment arrangements for inbound and outbound.
- Handle shipment clearances, track and monitors shipments to ensure on time delivery.
- Develop reports on products/materials movements and various operational logistics issues.
- Update stakeholders (internal/external) on the status of their shipments in transit.
- Develop logistics along with support plans, budget requirements and organization timelines for new operations.
- Create operational procedures and method statements.
- Prepare reports on material/products and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
- Assess in existing logistics operations systems and advise on corrective measures to be undertaken.
- Assist in designing and developing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
- Comply with all applicable Company directives, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor the material movement to and from the workface does not cause damage to the works, the workforce or the public.
- Ensure customers receives their products in a timely manner and good condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
