Logistics Coordinator

Coordinate and Manage Logistics Activities: Engage with vendors and clients to facilitate logistics operations. Plan and Monitor Shipments: Oversee inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods. Carrier Selection and Contract Negotiation: Choose carriers and third-party logistics providers, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms. Shipping Documentation Management: Prepare and handle all necessary shipping documents, including packing lists and customs declarations. Customer Updates: Provide regular shipment status updates to customers. Process Improvement: Continuously analyze logistics processes to identify and implement areas for improvement. Freight Coordination: Handle freight inquiries, quotations, and coordination with local and international clients for sea, air, and land services. Transportation Arrangements: Manage bookings, negotiate freight rates, and select appropriate carriers. Compliance: Ensure adherence to Dubai Trade and Dubai customs procedures, processing import/export customs declarations. Documentation Verification: Generate and verify necessary shipment documents such as Bill of Entry, Airway Bill, and Bill of Lading. Activity Monitoring: Update trackers including Daily Activity Monitoring, Daily Active File, and Microsoft Teams. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to arrange shipments, consistently exceeding customer service expectations. Shipping Incoterms: Understand and apply shipping incoterms for freight shipments. Daily Operations Monitoring: Review and monitor the daily operations of the logistics department. Requirements: Strong communication skills for vendor and client interaction. Experience in logistics planning and shipment monitoring. Ability to select carriers and negotiate contracts effectively. Proficiency in managing shipping documentation. Familiarity with Dubai Trade and Dubai customs procedures. Strong analytical skills for process improvement. Excellent customer service skills.
