Logistics and Transportation Supervisor – Confidential Company

• Develop and implement transportation and logistics plans, policies, and procedures for both material and personnel.
• Oversee the movement of materials, equipment, and personnel to and from project sites, including coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage the stores both central and at sights.
• Monitor and manage transportation and logistics costs, including negotiating rates and managing budgets.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including customs and transportation regulations.
• Manage the fleet of company vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on transportation and logistics performance, including key performance indicators such as on-time delivery and inventory accuracy.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation and logistics operations, including identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that transportation and logistics activities are aligned with project requirements.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, preferably in a contracting company in Kuwait or the GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations, including customs regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks and opportunities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
