Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Lead Electrical Lighting Engineer to join our team for a large-scale oceanarium project. With 18 years of experience in electrical engineering and specialized knowledge in lighting systems, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the project ensuring the implementation of cutting-edge lighting solutions that enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the oceanarium.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the electrical lighting design team, providing guidance and expertise throughout the construction phase. Collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate lighting systems seamlessly into the overall project.
- Develop detailed electrical lighting plans, including fixture selection, layout design, and control system integration, adhering to project specifications, codes, and industry standards. Utilize advanced software tools for lighting simulations and analysis to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
- Oversee the execution of electrical lighting installations, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for all electrical lighting-related matters, offering insights and solutions to complex design challenges.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards governing electrical installations.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of lighting systems to verify functionality, reliability, and adherence to specifications, addressing any deficiencies promptly and effectively.
- Act as a liaison between the project team and the client, presenting design proposals, addressing inquiries, and soliciting feedback to align deliverables with expectations.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 18 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on lighting design and implementation.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects in the construction industry, particularly in aquatic or themed entertainment environments.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- In-depth knowledge of lighting design principles, photometric analysis, and lighting control systems.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, and Dialux.
